One thing fewer to think about

Arranging transport is not what anyone wants to be doing in the days after a death. Tell us the funeral home, the service, the cemetery and roughly how many people, and we will handle the rest quietly.

How we work on the day

Early, quiet and where we said we would be

Our chauffeurs arrive ahead of time, dress appropriately, and wait without being asked. They do not make conversation unless spoken to, and they know how to follow a procession without losing it at a light.

If the funeral director has a running order, send it to us and we will work to it rather than to our own schedule.

What we cover

The journeys a funeral needs

  • Family cars — from the home to the funeral home or place of worship
  • Procession vehicles — following the hearse to the cemetery
  • Mourner transport — for extended family and friends
  • Return journeys — to the reception, and home afterwards
  • Airport transfers — for relatives travelling in
  • Multi-day arrangements — wake, service and burial across several days

We do not provide hearses. Your funeral director arranges that. We provide the vehicles that carry family and mourners, and we coordinate with the director so the two work together.

Choosing vehicles

Sized to the family, not to impress

Most funerals need fewer vehicles than families expect. Tell us the numbers and we will suggest the smallest arrangement that works.

Black Cadillac XTS sedan for funeral transport in New York
Up to 3 passengers

Executive sedan

The usual family car. Black, immaculate, and unremarkable in the way the day calls for.

Black Chevrolet Suburban SUV for funeral transport in New York
Up to 6 passengers

Luxury SUV

Easier to get in and out of than a sedan, which matters for elderly mourners. Room for six close family together.

Mercedes Sprinter van for funeral mourner transport in New York
Up to 14 passengers

Mercedes Sprinter

Keeps mourners together and arriving as one group, which is easier for everybody than a line of separate cars.

Coach for large funeral gatherings in New York
Up to 55 passengers

Coach

For large gatherings, or where the cemetery is a distance from the service. Lowest cost per person and nobody has to drive.

What to tell us

Four things, and we can take it from there

  • The date, and the time of the service
  • The funeral home, the place of worship and the cemetery
  • Roughly how many people need transport
  • Whether anyone has mobility needs

If you do not have all of it yet, call anyway. We would rather hold a vehicle on incomplete details than have you chase us later.

Where we go

Across the region

All five boroughs and every major cemetery in the area, including Woodlawn, Green-Wood, Calvary, St. John’s, Cypress Hills and Ferncliff.

Also Westchester, Long Island, northern New Jersey and Connecticut, and longer journeys where the burial is out of state.

Common questions

Funeral transport

How much notice do you need?

As much as you can give us, but we take short-notice bookings wherever a vehicle is free. Funerals are arranged quickly and we understand that. Call and we will tell you straight away what we can do.

Do you provide the hearse?

No. Your funeral director arranges the hearse. We provide the family cars, procession vehicles and mourner transport, and we coordinate with the director so everything runs together.

Can the chauffeur follow the hearse in procession?

Yes. Our chauffeurs are used to processions and know how to stay with one through traffic and lights. Give us the route and the funeral director’s contact and we will speak to them directly.

How many vehicles will we need?

Usually fewer than families expect. Tell us the numbers and we will suggest the smallest arrangement that works rather than the largest one we could sell you.

Can you help elderly or less mobile mourners?

Yes. Tell us in advance and we will send an SUV rather than a sedan, since it is considerably easier to get in and out of. Chauffeurs will assist where help is wanted.

Can you collect relatives from the airport?

Yes, and it is common. Flight tracking is included, so a delayed arrival does not become a missed connection to the service. See airport transfers.

How is it priced?

A fixed rate, agreed before the day, with tolls and parking included. Nothing is added afterwards. See our rates page.

Ready when you are

Send the date, the journey and the passenger count. We confirm the right vehicle and a flat rate, with nothing added afterwards.
